Spartanburg High School and Fox Sports Spartanburg are proud to announce former Chicago Bears and Carolina Panthers cornerback, DJ Moore, is the new analyst of the Spartanburg Viking football broadcasts. Moore will join Viking Play by Play Voice Ryan Clary all season and will bring his years of college and NFL playing experience to the radio booth.
Moore replaces Gavin Fisher recently became a middle school principal in Cherokee county. Fisher had been the analyst for the Vikings for over 10 years.
Clary said he hated to see Fisher go, but is excited about the future of the Viking football broadcasts.
“It’s always fun to do a broadcast with someone you have rhythm with” said Clary. “Fisher and I had worked together for 5 years and we had a blast. But if I had to call a game with someone else, my top choice would be DJ and I know I’ll learn a lot by just listening to him.”
Moore played in the NFL for 5 season with the Chicago Bears, Carolina Panthers, and Tampa Bay Bucs.
“I’m very pumped about this. We’re gonna do it right” Moore said on Open Mic Monday afternoon.
