Ryan Clary, co-host of Open Mic Daily and Play by Play Voice for the Spartanburg Vikings, can now be heard on Saturdays as well. Clary has been named the new Play by Play Voice for the Presbyterian College Blue Hose.
Clary will call football, men’s basketball, and baseball games for PC which can be all be heard on the Blue Hose Radio Network, which includes Fox Sports 1400. For Clary, being the Voice of a college program is a dream come true.
“When I was 16, I knew exactly what I wanted to do” Clary said. “I’ve always wanted to call games and be the Voice of a college team. It truly is a dream come true.”
“I can’t tell you how thankful I am to the AD Brian Reese for making this happen for my family” Clary said.
Clary will continue to be the Voice of the Spartanburg Vikings, as he’s in the middle of his 7th season.
“I told everyone that calling Spartanburg High School football games is a true passion of mine and I have no intention of stopping” Clary said. “I’ve helped build this network to what it is today and I can’t tell you how grateful I am to the people in the Spartanburg Viking family for how well they’ve treated me and my family. Calling games on Friday Nights in Spartanburg county is one of my favorite things I do all year and I look forward to hitting my goal of 50 years with Spartanburg High School.”
“Both Todd Staley and Brian Reese have been incredibly supportive of my career and passion along with Fox Sports 1400. Everyone sees our vision and what we’re trying to do for the community and I’ve received nothing but 100% support from everyone and I’m truly humbled and grateful” Clary said.
Clary can be heard weekdays from 3-6pm on Open Mic Daily along with the Wofford Play by Play Voice Mark Hauser.
