Playoffs Pushed Back…AGAIN

The South Carolina High School League announced that the football postseason, which was originally scheduled to begin Friday November 4th, and then moved to the 11th, has now been moved back another week to November 18th. This decision is to accommodate the lower state schools, many of which are still not in session due to the flooding from Hurricane Matthew.  The State Championships will take place December 16th and 17th, the same weekend of the Shrine Bowl.

Teams have the right to move their regular season games to one of the 1st two weeks of November. We have spoken with a number of upstate coaches and while some are in favor of moving their last regular season game to Nov. 4th, others would like the longer recovery time and have 2 straight bye weeks. Both teams have to agree to move the game before a regular season game can change dates.
