Big weekend on diamond for Bulldogs

By Jed Blackwell/The Spartanburg Sports Report

Both the Boiling Springs baseball and softball teams took impressive wins in prestigious out of town tournaments on Saturday.

In Iva, the Lady Bulldogs got a game winning hit from Calli Richards and a nine-strikeout performance in the circle from Shelby Griffin as they won the Tiger Invitational at Crescent with a tough 3-2 victory over Wren.

In Georgetown, the baseball team blanked Easley 4-0 to finish 3-1 in the International Paper Classic and take the championship in the weather-shortened event.

Check back for more stats and details as they become available.
