Week 5 and a lot of our local teams are off. So like the slate of games I will keep this article short.
Chesnee @ Clinton
This weeks game of the week presented by The Speed Factory. Chesnee quarterback Kyler Reagan was our play of the week for last week. He got it done with his arm and his legs. Clinton is a run heavy team, if Chesnee can put Clinton is passing situations like 3rd and long the Eagles will have a good night.
Pick: Chesnee
Walhalla at Landrum
The Cardinals got their first win of the season last week, beating West Oak 20-9. Landrum was able to secure that win with stout defense led by Linebacker Easton Jenkins. Jenkins recorded 8 tackles, 1 interception for a touchdown, and 2 tackles for a loss on a key goal line stand. The Landrum defense will need another good night to win this week. The Razorbacks are 4-1 coming off a 30-6 win over Blacksburg. The Landrum offense has got to find some ways to score.
Pick: Walhalla
Boiling Springs at Union
Union County cant find ways to score. In five games Union has scored 47 points. The defense has also surrendered 27 points or more in each of those five games. The team speed of Boiling Springs will be way to much for the Jackets.
Pick: Boiling Springs
Gaffney at Northwestern
Northwestern fired their coach earlier this week after starting the season 2-3, despite posting a 9-1 record last year. This is a team that is probably in some turmoil. Even if they weren’t I think Gaffney is better than them anyway.
Pick: Gaffney
Laurens @ Dorman
Dorman is much better than Laurens. That’s really all I can say.
Pick-Dorman
Westside at Spartanburg
The Vikings have found their stride the last few weeks. Westside will be a better test than Union was two weeks ago .
Pick: Spartanburg
