Week 4 HS Picks
Here are our picks for Week 4:
Spartanburg at Byrnes: (Chris Doski)
Byrnes’ running game vs Spartanburg’s Defensive front should be an interesting matchup to watch. If the Rebels can get the run game going, their defense should be able to keep the score low. The Vikings will have to find a way to protect Zay Foster against a dangerous front line of Byrnes.
Byrnes 34 Spartanburg 14
Dorman at Hillcrest: (Ryan Clary)
The Rams have gotten off to a nice start this year and the Scott brothers are a dangerous pair of pass rushers. Dorman Coach Dave Gutshall told us this week that the OL is banged up so keep an eye out there. The Cavs have rolled through non region play but should get a solid test out of Hillcrest.
Dorman 35 Hillcrest 17
Gaffney at Mauldin: (Tyler Shugart)
Gaffney has worlds of talent and is very fast. Mauldin can run the football but won’t be able to stay with the speed of Gaffney.
Gaffney 42 Mauldin 12
Riverside at Boiling Springs: (All)
Boiling Springs Big.
Boiling Springs 56 Riverside 7
Chesnee at Landrum: (Ryan Clary)
I like this game a lot. Landrum’s defense vs Chesnee’s new offense should be a lot of fun to watch. I think this is very low scoring and TDs will be Huge in this one.
Chesnee 14 Landrum 10
Woodruff at Chapman: (Chris Doski)
I really this Woodruff team and they’ll have a great season. Chapman is a different animal. Dendy will have to be lights out but I think Chapman knows this and will zone in on stopping him.
Chapman 54 Woodruff 19
Greer at Union: (Tyler Shugart)
The Union defense is improving and the Greer offense has been hit or miss. Union’s ability to run the football should be just enough to squeak by but keep an eye out on big runs from Greer.
Union 24 Greer 21
Eastside at Broome: (Ryan Clary)
Broome is a solid, balanced team that will give teams fits all year. Eastside, who is off to a 3-0 start which includes 2 wins on the road. Broome will need to control the line of scrimage to pull the W.
Eastside 31 Broome 20
