Broome Shuts Down Southside…Again

On Monday night the Broome Centurions beat Southside 25-0 behind a huge offensive performance and a perfect game thrown by pitcher Jeb Dawson.  The two teams met again on Wednesday night, and what happened was even more improbable than what happened on Monday.

Wednesday night the Broome pitcher Adam Stacey repeated the history of Monday night by throwing a perfect game of his own. Stacey, just like Dawson two nights earlier, faced nine batters and struck all nine of the batter he faced out.  That is 18 batters faced and 18 strikeouts for Broome over the last two game.

Broome scored 16 runs in the win, in a game shortened by the run rule.  Broome will be back in action on Friday at home against Greer Middle College before starting region play on Monday at home versus Emerald.
