Dorman alum Adam Humphries has been in the NFL now for six seasons. The first four of those he spent in Tampa playing for the Buccaneers. In 2019 he played in twelve games for the Tennessee Titans and he spent most of 2020 on the Covid/reserve list and the injured list with the Titans and only played in 7 games. When the 2021 football season kicks off in a few months the former Dorman and Clemson wide receiver will start his 7th year in the league with a new team, The Washington Football Team.
Humphries signed with Tampa as an undrafted free agent out of Clemson in 2015 and since then has played in 72 games, caught 279 passes for 2,931 yards and thirteen touchdowns.
Humphries will be a reliable slot receiver for the Washington Football Team who have struggled at the receiver position for sometime. All of a sudden the WFT receiving corps doesn’t look so bad with leading returning receiver Terry McLaurin and the addition of Curtis Samuel last week and now Humphries. Washington also signed veteran journeyman quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, who Humphries played with in Tampa, a week ago and he will presumably be the starter under center for Washington in the fall.
According to reports the deal is for one year and the terms of that one year deal have not been released.
