Troy Pride Jr. was a star on Friday nights at Dooley Field in Greer for the Greer Yellow Jackets. Troy went on the play defensive back at the collegiate level at one of the most historic teams in college football, Notre Dame. After his time with the Irish he was drafted in the 4th round by the Carolina Panthers, where he earned a place as a starter for is rookie season in 2020.
Now Troy Pride Jr. is returning to Dooley Field to give back to the community. The Troy Pride Jr. Day of Play will be held on May 29, 2021 at historic Dooley Field from 10:30am-2:30pm.
One hundred kids ages 8-12 will have the opportunity to learn about the game of football through a series of drills at different stations around Dooley Field manned by coaches, who will help kids learn the fundamentals of the game and strengthen their football knowledge and skills.
Tickets for the event are $20 and can be purchased by going to gofan.co and searching for Greer High School.
The camp is limited to 100 kids due to social distancing requirements.
