Dorman (17-4, 4-0) – The Cavaliers improved to 4-0 in region play with an 85-50 win over the Byrnes Rebels on Tuesday night. Defense has been the strong point for this year’s Dorman team as they are allowing just 47.5 points per game. They have two more tough road games this week as they are at Riverside on Friday, before playing at Wade Hampton on Saturday.
Byrnes (14-5, 2-2) – The Rebels fell to Dorman on Tuesday after falling at Riverside on Saturday. Coach Fowler’s team is very much in the hunt for a region title, but they will need the Cavaliers to falter down the stretch. They will face Riverside on Saturday before a rematch with Dorman next Tuesday.
Spartanburg (6-11, 0-4) – The Vikings fell to 0-4 in the region after a 53-39 loss to Riverside on Tuesday. The road to the playoffs is tough, and they will probably need to win their next two games to have a chance. It won’t be easy as they face Wade Hampton on Friday, before heading to Riverside next Tuesday.
Region III-5A
Gaffney (8-12, 2-3) – The Indians have dropped back to back games to Clover and Fort Mill. They are still in position to make the postseason but getting a home game will be tough as the schedule doesn’t ease up anytime soon. They are at Nation Ford on Friday before a rematch with Fort Mill on Tuesday of next week.
Boiling Springs (11-12, 0-5) – The Bulldogs are still searching for their first region win of the year after falling to Fort Mill 60-48 on Tuesday night. They will need to get hot down the stretch if they hope to make the playoffs this year. They go out of region to face Greenville on Friday, before hosting Clover next Tuesday.
Region II-4A
Greer (6-14, 0-4) – Greer is also looking for their first region win after falling to Greenville in double overtime last Friday. They take on Greenwood this Friday before traveling to Eastside next Tuesday.
