The Landrum Cardinals got off to a terrific start in region play with a 28-0 shutout win over the Chesnee Eagles.  The win also moves the Cardinals to .500 on the season with a record of 3-3 and one step closer to achieving one of their goals for the season which is to have a winning record.

The Cardinals were led Friday night offensively by Colton Link, who for the second time this season is out Fox Sports Spartanburg Player of the Week.  Link had another huge night Friday Night with 18 carries for 219 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Cardinals over region rival Chesnee.

Link has had a great start to the 2022 season he has played in 5 of the Cardinals 6 games and has amassed 750 rushing yards in those 5 games.

The Cardinals will look to win their second region game this Friday as they will be at home against Ninety-Six.
