Another epic Spartanburg vs Dorman City Rivalry. Just when you thought somebody had it won, something would happen to swing the momentum the other way. A classic.
There were a lot of big plays and outstanding performances for both teams on both sides of the football. But, Spartanburg linebacker Cam Smith stood out above the rest.
Smith had a forced fumble, a pass break-up, 1 sack, 2.5 tackles for a loss, and 15 total tackles. None of the tackles as big as the one made at the end of the game on a two-point conversion attempt by Dorman that would have given the Cavs the lead and likely the win.
The win earns the Vikings the two seed out of region 2 and the right to host a playoff game in the first round. The Vikings will host Nation Ford on Friday at Viking Stadium to kickoff the 5A playoffs.
Congratulations to the Vikings and to Cam Smith our Week 10 High School Football Player of the Week!
