Week 1 POTW

Going into the season we said that the Boiling Springs Bulldogs were probably the most interesting team in the county.  After the vast improvement during the 2022 season under first year head coach Matt Reel, we were all interested to see how much progress was made during the offseason.

Through two games in 2023 the Bulldogs have shown us that they are ready to play. They played tough and close with Hanna in week zero and then came out in week two and demolished the Mauldin Mavericks.

One of the reasons for the continuing improvement is the continued growth and development of quarterback Lincoln Husky, who is our Fox Sports Spartanburg Player of the Week for Week 1.

In the Bulldogs 55-0 win over Mauldin Friday night Husky was 18 of 23 for 333 yards and 5 touchdowns.

The Bulldogs are now 1-1 on the season as they return home this Friday to face the Chapman Panthers.  Chapman will be coming in off a comeback win over Byrnes on Friday night.
