Dan Jones To Retire After 2024

Gaffney Head Football Coach Dan Jones has flirted with retirement over the last few years on a couple of different occasions. Now, it appears he is finally ready to hangup the whistle after the upcoming 2024 season.

Jones, who has the most wins in Gaffney football history, has led the program since 2010 after the departure of Phil Strickland.  He has led them to 131-51 record in his tenure and two state titles, in 2012 and 2021.

Jones plans to spend more time with his family in retirement.

The Gaffney football job will be undoubtably a very sought after job as the Indians have always been one of the premier programs in the state, and also have great facilities and tremendous community support.
