2024 Football Preview: Broome

Last year at this time we were very excited about the upcoming football season for the Broome Centurions.  They had a returning talented senior quarterback with KBB and had what most considered to be the best running back in the state in Jaylen McGill. A lot of folks around here expected them to compete for a region title against Chapman, and that is exactly what happened the last game of the regular season.

This year there are a lot more questions.  KBB of course graduated and McGill is at MVP.  Broome also lost star offensive lineman Steven O’Dell to graduation and he is on the team at Furman.  So the Centurions have a lot to replace.

The coaches at Broome are excited about their incoming offensive and defensive lines. Of course, with this being 3A football the Centurions will have a lot of guys going both ways and that is especially true along the front.

The Centurions new quarterback will have big shoes to fill and will do it in a little different way than KBB.

Listen below as Head Coach Lynn Fleming gives us a full preview of the 2024 Broome Centurions.
