2024 Week Zero POTW

Most years week zero can be kind of boring. This year that was not the case.  We actually had some fun and entertaining games that came down to the wire.  There were also some great individual performances.

One of those great games was Woodruff at Clinton, and one of those outstanding individual performances came from Woodruff Quarterback TJ Morris.  Morris helped take the Wolverines to a 1-0 record with a win over a very good Clinton team on Friday night. In a back and forth game the Wolverines came out with a 40-36 victory.

In the win Morris 16 for 23 for 228 yards and two touchdowns.  He also added 7 carries for 33 yards and two more touchdowns, accounting for 4 Wolverine touchdowns in the game.

That effort was enough for us to name him our week zero player of the week presented by Broad River Electric Cooperative.

Congratulations to TJ Morris and the Woodruff Wolverines on a great win to start the season.  Next week Woodruff will again be on the road to take on Fountain Inn.
