Gaffney

Week One POTW

Big Time Players make big time plays in big time games.  We have heard this saying over and over again in the sports world. But it continues to ring true time and time again.

It happened Friday night as the Gaffney Indians defeated a very good JL Mann team in overtime to move to 1-0 on the season.  Except Andrew Ruppe made several big time plays in this big time game.

Ruppe who is normally a linebacker had 6 tackles including 2 tackles for a loss, blocked a punt and on top of all that had two rushing touchdowns, including the winner in overtime, and the decisive two point conversation.

That’s a big time player, making big time plays in a big time game.  Therefore Andrew Ruppe is our Week  One Player of The Week. His performance was truly electrifying! The Indians are now 1-0 and will be at home for the first time next week against the Greenville Red Raiders, who are 0-2.

Congratulations to the Gaffney Indians and their star Andrew Ruppe.
