Region 2 5A Adjusts Schedule

Region 2 in 5A has decided how it will change its football schedules as a result of Hurricane Helene-related postponements from September 27th through October 4th. Tuesday morning, the SCHSL extended the football regular season by one week to allow schools to make up at least one game that was previously postponed due to the hurricane.

Region 2-5A games scheduled for September 27th will now be played on November 8th, which is the ‘new’ last week of the regular season that the SCHSL added earlier this week. Games scheduled for October 4th will not be made up. Since Byrnes and Dorman moved their game in Roebuck from September 27th to September 25th to beat the weather, the Rebels and Cavaliers will have their regular seasons end on November 1st, and another bye week on November 8th.
