Week 11 POTW

The regular season has come to an end and playoffs start this week for most teams. But before we move on to week 1 of the playoffs we have to recognize what happened this past Friday night.

Spartanburg and Gaffney met for the region title and the Indians got a come from behind win to claim the region 2 5A crown.  Gaffney looked to be in trouble as they started the 4th quarter down 24-7 but they came roaring back scoring 20 unanswered points in the final frame to get the win.

A huge part of that victory was Shane Davidson. The Gaffney wideout only had 4 catches on the night, but 3 of those 4 were for touchdowns and he ended up with 92 yards on the night helping his team win the region title.  Those stats earn him this weeks electrifying player of the week honors.

Congratulations to the Indians on the win and on winning the 2 5A region title. Gaffney will have a bye in the first round of the playoffs this week and will host a playoff game in week 2.

Confratulations to Shane Davidson our week 11 electrifying player of the week presented by Broad River Electric Cooperative!
