Round 3 POTW

The second round of the playoffs in in the books. Our local teams went 3-0 in this round and are moving on to the upper state finals.

The Spartanburg Vikings defeated JL Mann in a revenge game from 2023’s second round where the Patriots eliminated the Vikings.  This year the Vikings were able to produce a lot more offensively than a year ago.  This year the Vikings were able to put up 35 points in a 35-9 win. Trenton Lynch had a huge game and is our Fox Sports Spartanburg Electrifying player of the week.

In the win Lynch carried the ball 20 times for 193 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also had 1 catch for 28 yards and was a catalyst in the Vikings third round win.

This week the Vikings will travel to Dutch Fork to face the Silver Foxes with a spot in the 5A Division 1 State Championship on the line.

Congratulations to the Vikings on the win and to Trenton Lynch on being our Electrifying Player of the Week for round 2.
