Chesnee

Week 0 POTW

First week of high school football is in the books. A lot of our local teams won on Friday and there were a lot of great performances by some of our local players. To us, on of the stood out above the rest.

This weeks Fox Sports Spartanburg Electrifying Player of the Week is Chesnee QB Evan Lawter. Lawter led the Eagles to a 35-21 victory over 3A Pendleton on Friday night in Chesnee.  Lawter carried the ball 27 times on Friday for 191 yards and 3 rushing touchdowns, while going 4 of 6 passing for 41 yards.

Chesnee is now 1-0 on the season and will travel across town next week to face another 3A opponent, the Broome Centurions.

Congratulations to Chesnee on the big win and Congratulations to Evan Lawter our Week Zero Electrifying Player of the Week Presented by Broad River Electric Cooperative.
