Week 2 Picks

I believe in being honest with readers/listeners.  I hope y’all gave learned that about me since 2016.  I don’t pull punched or sugarcoat things. So I am going to shoot you straight today. This picks article is going to be short and sweet because I usually write it on Thursday night, but I stayed out too late last night trying the root the Burgers on to a playoff spot.  They came up short last night and so will this article.

Let’s get straight into the picks….

I like MVP to roll over St. Joes in the Stars first home game of the year at North Greenville.

Woodruff will stay undefeated with a win over Emerald.

Union will stay winless with a loss to York.

I think the Landrum will keep it rolling against what is not a bad Ware Shoals Hornet team.

Chesnee will make the long drive to Walhalla and will make the happy drive back to Chesnee with a win.

Greer has some wins coming but I don’t think it will be this week against Hillcrest.

Dorman will have their best test so far in 2025 but I think they will be able to run against Greenwood and will pull out the win at home.

Greenville played a lot better last week against Riverside. They ain’t playing Riverside this week. Hopefully this week Gaffney will settle on a Qb. Either way they will win going away.

Boiling Springs will take care of business against Chapman bouncing back from a disappointing loss to to Mauldin last week.

I like that Broome and Spartanburg are continuing to play this game.  I think this years contest will be a lot closer to the one two years ago that went down to the last minute than some of the others that have been a little one-sided.  Hopefully it will be a fun one and hopefully you will tune it in tonight!

Should be a decent week of football for our area.  We have another weekend full of football this weekend with the pros getting involved this time.  Let’s have a great weekend and remember to do something nice for someone this weekend, they may really need it!
