Week 2 POTW

The Woodruff Wolverines found themselves in a deep hole on Friday night trailing Emerald 22-0 in the second quarter, but when you have the offensive firepower the Wolverines have, anything is possible. The Wolverines would go on to score 50 unanswered point and defeat the Vikings 50-22.

One of the Wolverines big offensive weapons is wide receiver Kori Moates.  On Friday night Moates had 11 catches for 154 yards and 2 touchdowns in the Woodruff come from way behind win to defeat Emerald. His effort makes him of Fox Sports Spartanburg Electrifying Player of the week for week two presented by Broad River Electric Cooperative.

Moates is a 5’11” 160 pound Senior for the Wolverines and he plays cornerback as well as wide receiver. The win makes Woodruff 3-0 on the season with a date on Friday Night on the road at Woodmont.

Congratulations to the Woodruff Wolverines on a great win last week vs Emerald and congratulations to Kori Moats our week 2 Fox Sports Spartanburg Electrifying player of the week presented by Broad River Electric Cooperative!
