Week 8 is here. We are in the final turn of the season and getting ready to drag race to the finish line of the season. Still a lot to be decided in all our divisions and regions, and this week will be a big one for some teams trying to win region titles and improve playoff seeding. Let’s take a quick look at what I think will transpire tonight!
MVP at Woodruff-
This is a game a lot of people have had circled since before the season started and should be the best game on this weeks slate. Both of these teams can put points on the board. Skill players galore. So whose defense will stand tall and make a stop?
This is the first big test for MVP this season and I think they pass.
Pick: MVP
Union At Chapman
Both of these teams have struggled big time this year. There are a combined 1-14. Both give up a lot of points and have had issues scoring points of their own. I will be at this game tonight and I hope to see both of these teams still having a little life in them. I know 1-7 and 0-7 are tough on you when you are 15-17 years old, but you only get so many of these games in your high school career and they are days you will remember the rest of your life. I hope both teams will go out and continue to fight and battle and have fun doing it!
Pick: Chapman
I like Spartanburg to get a region win tonight over an injured Boiling Springs team.
Byrnes will beat Eastside.
Dorman should have no issue on the road at Wade Hampton.
Gaffney will roll against Riverside.
Big game tonight for Chesnee taking on Liberty. This game will be for likely second place in the region and I like Chesnee to get it done.
Clinton will beat Landrum
I think Greer has finally found some offense and will when a close game tonight.
Have fun at the games tonight everyone and remember to be kind to each other and do something nice for someone this week.
