POTW Week 1

High School basketball is now officially underway in our are. Preseason tourneys are over and region play will be here this week for 5A.  We think there will be some really good teams in our area this year and some really good players that we will be able to highlight this year.

One of those teams that looks to have a promising season are the Chesnee Eagles. On reason we expect them to be good is the play of senior Eli Brown. In three games last week Brown averaged 27.3 PPG, including a 41 point effort against Broome, and surpassed the 1,ooo point mark for his career.

For his efforts last week Brown is our first 2025-2026Fox Sports Spartanburg Electrifying High School Basketball Player of the Week presented by Broad River Electric.

The Eagles are 3-1 on the season and have matchups this week with Broome, Chapman, and Brashier MC.
