2025 Electrifying Defensive Player of the Year

Dorman had a terrific 2025 season as they returned to true Dorman form and mad a run to the region title and the Upperstate Championship game.  One of the stalwarts of a great Dorman team is outstanding defense and the Cavilers defiantly had on of those this year.

Week in and week out all season long one name kept popping up when we at the station discussed player of the week every Sunday. That name was Ja’bez Thomas. It seemed like every week Thomas made some huge defensive play that put him in the running for the award. Thomas ended the season with 28 tackles 2.5 tackles for loss and 9 interceptions. He also contributed to the team offensively with 3 rushing touchdowns 74 rushing yards and 2 catches for 28 yards.

Great defense and a solid running game got Dorman back to the top of region 2 5A and Ja’bez Thomas was a big part of that. Congratulations to Ja’bez Thomas our 2025 Electrifying Defensive Player of the Year!
